The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic honor is awarded to Bates varsity letter winners who have reached sophomore academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.
In an outdoor ceremony May 21, 478 degrees were awarded to members of Colby's Class of 2017 at the College's 196th Commencement. Former Vice President Joe Biden told the graduates to help the nation return to basic principles of equality and dignity and to understand each other's stories to develop a deeper sense of humanity. Colby President David A. Greene handed a diploma to each of the graduates.
Lafayette College students were named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2016 semester. Each student achieved at least a 3.60 semester grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
